CGA at Holy Trinity Clapham 250th Birthday

CGA joined Holy Trinity Clapham at the weekend to mark the church's 250th birthday. The occasion included two services, music, prayer, children's activities and food. The on-site team worked hard over recent weeks to bring the building to partial possession in time. The Revitalise 250 project covers the extension and internal refurbishment of the 18th-century church, including new extensions to the north and south elevations and specialist works to the Narthex, Nave, Gallery and Chancel. Further celebrations continue over the coming week.

Rooftop Works at Brompton Barracks - What It Takes to Lift a 59-Tonne Crane Safely

CGA has been appointed to carry out significant roof repairs and upgrades to the Officers' Mess at Brompton Barracks in Chatham, a Grade II listed building within an active military site. Getting onto the roof required the installation of a 59-tonne crane, preceded by a full structural assessment, method statement and lift plan. Works include lead and slate roof repairs, valley and parapet gutter replacements and structural remediation. Delivering this on a heritage building inside a functioning military establishment requires precise planning and close coordination with the site authority.

Lancaster Gate Hotel – The Challenge of Refurbishing a Working Hotel

CGA has been appointed to carry out the phased refurbishment of Lancaster Gate Hotel in London: a full-building project covering guest bedrooms, corridors, reception, bar and restaurant and back-of-house spaces, delivered in phases while the hotel continues operating. Works include M&E replacement, new finishes and fit-out, and upgrades to front-of-house areas. The programme is sequenced closely with the hotel operations team.

CGA Appointed at The Goldsmiths' Centre - Working Around 120 Active Jewellers

CGA has been appointed to deliver M&E upgrade works at The Goldsmiths' Centre in Farringdon, a specialist venue providing workshop space for over 120 professional jewellers and goldsmiths. Works include replacing the existing air conditioning system with a new VRF installation and full replacement of the domestic hot water system, delivered within an occupied building throughout. Runwell Sports & Social Club - Refreshed and Ready

CGA has completed the refurbishment of Runwell Sports & Social Club in Essex, home to football, rugby, snooker, archery and bowls. Works covered external improvements including roofing, cladding and landscaping, alongside internal refurbishment of the bar, changing rooms and social spaces. The programme was sequenced carefully to keep the club running throughout. The clubhouse is now in the best condition it has been in for years.

Good Conversations and a Good Year - CGA's December 2025

December brought two good reasons to get the industry together. CGA co-hosted the Connect 5 breakfast networking event at The Skyloft, Westfield Stratford, alongside Playle & Partners LLP, Spatial Dimensions, Simpson TWS and Kova. Later in the month, the CGA Christmas dinner brought together project teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients to mark a strong year. CGA offices closed 24th December, reopening 5th January 2026.

CGA Starts Works at Church House, Holy Trinity Brompton

CGA has commenced works at Church House, a multi-purpose building supporting Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) in West London. The project includes RAAC remediation, structural strengthening, internal reconfiguration and a full M&E overhaul, all within an occupied building that remains in daily use throughout. Church House provides accommodation, offices, meeting spaces and catering facilities for one of London's largest church communities. Programme and logistics management are central to how the project is being run.
